The headquarters of the Citibank N.A. Bangkok Branch relocated from the Sangthong Thani building on North Sathorn Road to the Interchange building on Sukhumvit Road at the Asoke Intersection in May 2010.
EEC Lincolne Scott was responsible for the design and documentation of electrical and mechanical systems for the fit out of approximately 21,000 m2 of office space over 12 levels.
The tenancy accommodates approximately 2500 staff in office space, which also includes meeting rooms, conference rooms, and IT/Server rooms.
The electrical design included efficient lighting, consuming 15% less electricity than a standard lighting design. Timed operation and occupancy sensors further minimised electricity consumption.
Photocell sensors were installed in all common spaces and meeting rooms within 15 feet from the glass facade. This allows the lights to be off during the day when there is a sufficient daylight level.
Improved indoor environment quality was achieved with increased ventilation rates, 30% above the minimum rates required by the ASHRAE Standard and installation of an outdoor air delivery monitoring system to monitor CO2 levels.
A VAV system was selected for the project due to its energy efficiency, short return on investment and low maintenance.
Citibank N.A. applied for and achieved a LEED Gold rating for the sustainability initiatives that were included in the fit out.
